On their website https://www.spda.ch, you can read that the Swiss Private Detective Association is a Swiss non-profit association founded on 2 September 2020 in Lugano.
Its purpose is to promote the image of private investigation professionals and the quality of the services they provide to individuals.
The organisation aims to achieve this goal through training and professional development and ethical rules. Individuals and legal persons active in a professional capacity in the private investigation branch can join.
The Ticino Sunday newspaper Il Caffè reported this weekend in one of their articles that the timing is perfect as in only 5 months, a new law will enter in force regulating the activities of security and investigation agencies.
There are about a hundred of such companies in all and the SPDA is looking to represent as many of them as possible. Their website is currently open for any Swiss detectives that wish to join.
